data discovery portal
This prototype portal provides a basic search capability, through keyword search to an initial compilation of marine data sets from the first four MEDIN Data Achive Centres:
- British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC)
- Data Archive for Seabed Species and Habitats (DASSH)
- British Geological Survey (BGS)
- UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO)
The search will provide a listing of matched data sets, which can be individually selected to provide more detailed information in tabular or xml format.
Please note this is a prototype. We recognize that the limited searchable content and functionality impact on the usefulness of the portal, but we plan to increase content and portal functionality over the coming months.
Note that it is possible to choose an alternative background map through the "+" tab on the top right of the map page.
