Internal code | Internally assigned metadata identifier | 10160 |
Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | eDNA data for eXXpedition Atlantic crossing project |
File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | CEFAS7c8d8347-5b29-4633-ad24-2bf165716678 |
Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | CEFAS11381 |
Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2015-11-07 |
End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2015-12-17 |
Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
Abstract | The abstract provides a clear and brief statement of the content of the resource. | The results of environmental DNA analysis from water samples taken in the Atlantic Ocean between Senegal and Brazil, and Brazil and Guyana. The analysis of vertebrates was targeted. |
Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | 2 litre water samples were passed through a sterivex filter. Co1 was amplified and then PCR performed. PCR prodcuts were purified and then ligated on a next generation sequencer. Sequences were de-muliplexed into individual samples by MiSeq control software then quality assessed and trimmed by CLC Genomics workbench (Version 4). |
