Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2000 CEMEX Greenwich Light East Area 473 Benthic Ecology Study |
File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 50012080a2df38eeac1d8816eff8b3ad |
Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | MRMLN0040000008B |
Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2000-09-13 |
End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2000-09-15 |
Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
Abstract | The abstract provides a clear and brief statement of the content of the resource. | Marine species presence/absence data from aggregate survey of Greenwich Light East Area. |
Lineage | Lineage includes the background information, history of the sources of data, data quality statements and methods. | EMU Environmental Ltd conducted a Baseline Benthic Ecology Study for Hanson Aggregates Marine Ltd and South Coast Shipping Co Ltd between September 13th - 15th 2000. Grab sampling was conducted using a 0.2m sq. grab bucket split into two halves (2 x 0.1m sq), upon recovery half of the sample used for faunal analysis and the other for full particle size analysis. 67 of the intended 69 samples were collected, triplicate samples were obtained from 8 sites. In total 83 grab samples were collected during the survey. A total of 8 trawls were carried out using a 2m Beam Trawl, over a distance of 500 or 1000m depending on the nature of the seabed. NB: Co-ordinates entered as OS Grid and rounded up or down to 6 figures |
Additional information | This describes relevant references to the data e.g. reports, articles, websites plus other useful information not captured elsewhere. | EMU Ltd (2000) Greenwich Light East Proposed Licence Area 473 Baseline Benthic Ecology Study. |
