Metadata: 1994 Environment and Resource Technology (ERT), Portland Harbour to the west and Clavell Tower at Kimmeridge to the east, Hardy-Barnett suction sampler and Diving survey
Abstract:
All these records relate to "Environment and Resource Technology Ltd (1994) - Marine Environmental Survey of the Dorset Coastline within UKCS Block 97/14 and 15 - Diving Survey (ERT 94/075) September 1994". A copy of report and complete collection of catalogued slides, bound in a separate volume, are held at Dorset Environmental Records Centre. This survey was carried out by Environment and Resource Technology (ERT) for Amoco. Diving fieldwork took place between 16-25 September 1994, during which 29 stations were sampled in the area bounded by Portland Harbour to the west and Clavel Tower at Kimmeridge to the east. MNCR survey protocols were used, with sampling carried out by diver pairs skilled in in situ fauna and flora identification. Infaunal samples (0.1m sq, 20cm deep and 1.0mm sieved) were obtained at some stations using a Hardy-Barnett suction sampler. Station positions were fixed using a hand-held GPS on the OSGB36 spheroid.

Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 1994 Environment and Resource Technology (ERT), Portland Harbour to the west and Clavell Tower at Kimmeridge to the east, Hardy-Barnett suction sampler and Diving survey |
File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | 7c7956a875315f521a4b3d9769dbe5c7 |
Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | MRLRC00100000529 |
Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 1994-09-16 |
End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 1994-09-25 |
Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
