Review of status of subtidal sandbanks alongside an impact assessment on this feature by the proposed IOTA capital dregde. In order to assist Natural England with their statutory responsibility of reporting to Defra on the state of subtidal sandbank features, within the Humber Estuary, ABPmer were requested to carry out a review of previous studies to help determine the presence and natural variability of such features. Further to this, some supporting evidence was requested in order to allow Natural England to reach a decision on a proposed channel deepening for the Immingham Oil Terminal, with emphasis on the potential impact such a dredge might have on the aforementioned subtidal sandbank features.
