Metadata: 2002-2003 Natural England Berwickshire and North Northumberland Coast Sublittoral monitoring
Abstract:
A report presenting the findings of a series of sublittoral surveys carried out within the Berwickshire and North Northumberland Coast cSAC. The surveys were conducted during the summers of 2002 and 2003 by Aquatic Surveys and Monitoring Ltd. on behalf of English Nature (EN). The purpose of the surveys was to use a standard method (that was repeatable) to gather data to assess the conservation status of the site. By using repeatable methods it allowed for future sampling of the site and the possibilty of comparing the data with that gathered in the future. The data includes biotope diversity and distribution along with characteristic species, comparison between transects and species abundances (gathered using quadrats).

Title | The title is used to provide a brief and precise description of the dataset such as 'Date', 'Originating organisation/programme', 'Location' and 'Type of survey'. All acronyms and abbreviations should be reproduced in full. | 2002-2003 Natural England Berwickshire and North Northumberland Coast Sublittoral monitoring |
File Identifier | The File Identifier is a code, preferably a GUID, that is globally unique and remains with the same metadata record even if the record is edited or transferred between portals or tools. | ca4077649fbf4c009a79-43331cd251f8 |
Resource Identifier | This is the code assigned by the data owner. | MREN015000000002 |
Resource type | The resource type will likely be a dataset but could also be a series (collection of datasets with a common specification) or a service. | dataset |
Start date | This describes the date the resource starts. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2002-08-02 |
End date | This describes the date the resource ends. This may only be the year if month and day are not known | 2003-06-18 |
Spatial resolution | This describes the spatial resolution of the dataset or the spatial limitations of the service. | inapplicable |
Frequency of updates | This describes the frequency with which the resource is modified or updated i.e. a monitoring programme that samples once per year has a frequency that is described as 'annually'. | notPlanned |
