Open Meeting on the Development and Use of Indicators in the Assessment of data relevant to Marine Processes and Climate. 8th Nov 2005, DARDNI, Belfast. The subject for the meeting had been selected as a follow-up to the DEFRA “Charting Progress” report, which had concluded that there is a real need to develop indicators, particularly for the Marine Processes and Climate sector. Open Meeting on the Design of Monitoring Programmes. 9th Nov 2004, Met Office, Exeter. The meeting aimed to provide a forum for discussion of the design of monitoring programmes with a view to encouraging the rational development of a UK Marine Monitoring Strategy. Open Meeting on Marine Monitoring in Scotland. 19th November, 2002. Sottish Executive, Edinburgh.

The meeting aimed to clarify what marine monitoring was being undertaken in Scottish waters and how it might be better coordinated, with particular emphasis on issues related to weather, marine climate and indicators of climate change. Summary record (130 KB)
