MEDAG NPRC

These webpages provide access to marine data and information, and outline the work of the Marine Environmental Data Action Group. MEDAG is part of OceanNET and is operated by IACMST

Prior to foreign research cruises being undertaken in UK waters, a Notification of Proposed Research Cruise form is submitted from the operating authority to the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). This information may be used to promote the exchange of data between UK and international research organisations.

Complementary to the Notification of Foreign Research Cruises are also a number of other resources detailed below which give information on vessels and cruise schedules. These include:

The UK Cruise Inventory which is a valuable resource for scientists, programme managers and data managers providing information on who has collected what, where and when, in addition to details of measurements taken and samples collected.
