The SeaDataNet project (2006-2011) is constructing a standardized distributed system for managing the large and diverse data sets collected by the oceanographic fleets and the new automatic observation systems in Europe. A wide range of data and information can be accessed via the SeaDataNet website.

Ocean Portal is a high level global directory of ocean data and information which is operated by the International Oceanographic Commisions International Data Exchange Committee. Its objective is to help scientists and other ocean experts in locating data & information.

MarBEF, a network of excellence funded by the European Union and consisting of 78 European marine institutes, is a platform to integrate and disseminate knowledge and expertise on marine biodiversity, with links to researchers, industry, stakeholders and the general public.

eSeFDee Marine Sciences Portal provdies links to websites of approx. 1000 international organisations, management bodies, research institutes, information and data centres, etc., whose field of operation includes the North Atlantic and/or the Mediterranean, or parts thereof. Also provides links to key documents and marine scientific journals and taxonomical and biogeographical websites, and searchable species databases.

Ports and Harbours of the UK provides information, contact details and links to websites of all ports and harbours in the UK.

European Centre for Information on Marine Science and Technology The EurOcean Internet portal is a focal point of information for all actors with interest in marine science and technology. It provides information in three main domains: marine research infrastructures, national and European RTD programmes.

Port is the UK National Maritime Museum's subject gateway to maritime information from the Internet.

www.marinescienceandtechnology.com is a US based marine information portal.

theukcoastalzone.com The site aims to be the definitive online source for information relating to the integrated management of the United Kingdom coastal zone, as well as the use of geospatial technology for coastal management. On the site, links to governmental, commercial, voluntary, public and private organisations can be found. There are also links to data and software providers, and downloadable data sets.

EUCC Coastal Guide is aimed at professionals in coastal management, planning, conservation and research in Europe to
provide help in finding and accessing the best available information.

CoastLINK is a network of local authorities covering the North/South, East/West axes of Europe. The project aims at issuing recommendations in specific aspects of the integrated management of coastal areas. UK partners are Cornwall County Council, Devon County Council, Down County Council (Northern Ireland) and Kent County Council.

Sea-level Portal. BODC holds sea level data from all over the world in many formats and are currently working on this portal, so eventually all of BODC's sea level data holdings will be searchable through a GIS interface and, where possible, the data downloaded.
