These webpages provide access to marine data and information, and outline the work of the Marine Environmental Data Action Group. MEDAG is part of OceanNET and is operated by IACMST

A recommendation came out of the IACMST Review of MEDAG in 2006 to produce a forward looking document that describes key areas of work for the next five years. A 5 year plan was produced for MEDAG work was provided and agreed at the MEDAG meeting in November 2006. It may be downloaded here pdf (75 KB).

To provide context and background to the 5 year plan a document on 'UK and International Data Drivers and Initiatives' pdf (375 KB)' was written which outline all the key data initiatives in the UK and Internationally and their possible impact on MEDAG activities. This document provides a usefull resource for an overview of current data initiatives to the wider interested public.
